What this is
Resume Roast generates AI-written comedic commentary on a resume you provide, plus improvement tips and, if you unlock it, a rewritten version of your resume in your choice of layout. The roast itself is entertainment. The tips and the rewrite are meant to be genuinely useful, but they're AI-generated and not a substitute for advice from a professional career coach or recruiter. Use your own judgment before making changes.
Payment
Your first 3 roasts are free, tracked in your browser (no account needed). To keep the free tier fair we also enforce a server-side limit of up to five free roasts per IP address per rolling 24 hours. Unlocking the full fix (every tip explained, a rewritten resume, and three downloadable layouts) is a one-time payment of $3.99 per unlock, processed by Stripe. There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically.
Refunds
If generation fails after payment and you don't get a usable result, we won't charge you for it, unlocks aren't spent until a result successfully generates. If something still goes wrong on our end, email support@theresumeroast.com and we'll sort it out.
Acceptable use
Only submit your own resume, or one you have permission to submit. Don't upload content that isn't actually a resume in bad faith to abuse the free tier, and don't attempt to circumvent the rate limits or payment system. We may block access for abuse.
No warranty
The service is provided as is. AI-generated output can be wrong, can misjudge your resume, and occasionally can be genuinely unfair, it's a comedy roast, not a certified assessment. We don't guarantee any particular outcome (interviews, job offers, etc.) from using the tips or rewritten resume.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product changes. Continued use after a change means you accept the update. Questions? Email support@theresumeroast.com.
